Welcome to FK International Schools boarding.

FK boarding is available for international students starting from age of 5 years. We provide a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment where they learn, play and grow. FK boarding is an effectively a home away from home as we ensure that our children are well cared for and supported in all aspects of their personal life. The strong relationships in FK Boarding community enables the children to make new friends, gain a sense of belonging and responsibility as they are fully supported by the boarding staff.

Dorm and Lounge

FK boarding dormitory containing 2 wings, (boys wing on the south and girls wing on the north) each containing students’ bedroom and bathrooms9(cold and hot showers), a lounge area where they hang out watch TV, play games and celebrate birthdays, a laundry room where clothes are washed hanged to dry and be ironed. There are also 2 boarding phones special for parent -child communication and parent- boarding communication.

Prep and Studies

FK boarding environment offers students the advantage of more time and space for a full education as they have a special prep teacher to help each child in personal level. Prep last for one hour and a half five days a week while many day children in big cities like Dar-es-salaam have to cope with increasing congestion roads which steals away so many precious hours of learning.

Health

The health of the children in our care is one of our biggest priorities. We understand that it’s never fun for children to be unwell especially when they are away from home and that’s a major concern for the parents. therefore, we aim at ensuring that we deal with any medical issue in a caring prompt and professional manner. There is always a nurse to attend on the sick by dispensing regular medication to illnesses and minor traumatic injuries. For those whose cases becomes serious are escorted to the hospital by a school nurse for emergency care while communicating to the parents/guardian of the student.

Bed Time

Juniors will be expected to go to bed at 9:00pm and Seniors at 9:30pm during the week and every Sunday

Weekends

During the weekend activities such as swimming, volleyball and football, movie nights, long beach walk, weekend trips and supermarkets shopping organized by boarding staff aiming at making boarding life as positive an experience as it can be
