About Us
FK International School is an independent, high-achieving, coeducational day & boarding international school located in Dar es Salaam, with a roll of 300 students from over 20 different countries. The mission of FK Schools is to provide a high-quality British-based education within a safe, secure and caring environment, enabling each student to achieve their potential.
Introduction
FK International School has a rich history since its year of establishment in 1997. The school has two campuses located at Mbezi Beach, Africana and Bahari Beach.Since 2013, the school has been offering the British Curriculum. Initially, the school offered the National Curriculum (NECTA) but in 2013, the school switched to offering the British Curriculum (Cambridge). Due to the rising need for literacy globally, the school has grown from its populace for both Primary and Secondary sections. Academically, the school has demonstrated a positive trend through improvement in progressive examinations (checkpoint exams) for both primary and lower secondary, as well as other various internal examinations. Far from the academic point of view, the school has been consistently outstanding in all co-curriculum activities such as Football and Swimming.

Message from Principal
I have had the privilege to lead and serve FK secondary school since 2021. When I
arrived, we had a tight community of 60 students, 10 teachers and few support staff
along with a dedicated group of parents who wanted to have an opportunity to
collaborate to make a great school.
Two years later, our campus has grown to twice the number of students and staff.
We are still a tight knit community, bound by our vision: to provide a high quality
British-based education within a safe, secure and caring environment, enabling
each pupil to achieve their potential.
Of the many Cambridge based schools in Dar es Salaam, we take pride in our
school and community because we are unique in our approach to teaching and
learning. We strongly believe that critical thinking has an important role in learning.
To that end, we use an inquiry based approach to learn. We encourage students to
ask the questions: how and why. Our staff challenges students to apply knowledge
they’ve learned across disciplines and apply it to real world situations.
It is through this approach we cultivate students who are responsible, innovative,
reflective, engaged and confident students.
